This Privacy Policy explains how JGME Consulting UK Ltd and JGME Consulting SARL (together, "JGME Consulting", "we", "our" or "us") collect, use and protect your personal data when you visit our website, register for our events, use our services or contact us.

1. Who we are
  • JGME Consulting UK Ltd is registered in England and Wales. Company number: [number]. Registered office: Richmond House, Lawnswood Business Park, Redvers Close, Leeds LS16 6QY, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. ICO registration number: ZC116169.

Both companies operate under the JGME Consulting brand and share the website www.jgmeconsulting.com. For people in the UK and EU, JGME Consulting UK Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Our work includes:

  • AI solutions and AI governance;
  • cyber assurance;
  • enterprise digitalisation (ERP);
  • financial technology;
  • health and social care technology, including EquiCare®.
2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, job title and organisation.
  • Business information: details about your organisation and the services you're interested in.
  • Event information: registration details, attendance, and any access or dietary requirements you choose to tell us about.
  • Service information: information provided to us while delivering consulting, assurance or implementation services.
  • Financial information: limited payment and invoicing details where services are invoiced.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type and device information collected through server logs [and cookies — see section 10].
3. How we use your personal data

We use your personal data to:

  • provide and manage our services;
  • respond to enquiries and support requests;
  • send proposals, contracts, invoices and reports;
  • manage event registrations, send event information and issue certificates of attendance;
  • meet our legal, regulatory and contractual obligations;
  • keep our website secure and improve our services;
  • send you updates about our services and events, only where you have opted in, or where the law otherwise allows us to contact you in a business context. You can unsubscribe at any time.
4. Our legal basis for processing

Under UK GDPR (and, where applicable, EU GDPR), we rely on:

  • Contract: to deliver services you or your organisation have requested.
  • Legal obligation: to meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Legitimate interests: to run our business, manage events, keep our systems secure and improve our services. We only rely on this where our interests are not outweighed by your rights.
  • Consent: for marketing where it is required, and for any access or dietary information you share with us for events. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Events

When you register for one of our events (for example, through our ticketing provider, Ticket Tailor), we use your name, contact details, job title and organisation to:

  • manage your registration;
  • send joining information;
  • share event materials;
  • issue certificates of attendance.

If you tell us about access or dietary requirements, we use this only to make arrangements for the event, and delete it within 30 days after the event.

If you agree, your name, job title and organisation may appear on a delegate list shared with other attendees.

We may take photographs at our events. If you'd prefer not to be photographed, please tell us at registration.

We keep event registration data for up to 12 months after the event, unless you have opted in to receive updates from us.

6. EquiCare® and council data

When we provide EquiCare® to a council or other public body, that organisation is the data controller for information about the people it supports. JGME Consulting acts as its data processor under a written data processing agreement, and processes that information only on the organisation's documented instructions.

This policy does not cover that information. Questions about it should be directed to the relevant council or public body.

7. Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

Where our products use AI to support professional work, such as EquiCare®, outputs are reviewed and approved by a responsible professional before any decision is made.

8. How we share personal data

We may share personal data with:

  • our internal teams within JGME Consulting (UK and Cameroon), where necessary;
  • trusted service providers acting on our behalf, such as IT hosting and cloud platforms, our ticketing provider, payment processors and professional advisers, under appropriate contracts;
  • regulators, law enforcement or other authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

9. International transfers

Because JGME Consulting operates in the UK and Cameroon, and some of our service providers operate outside the UK, your personal data may be transferred internationally.

Where personal data is transferred from the UK to a country without UK adequacy regulations, including Cameroon, we use appropriate safeguards. These are the ICO's International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.

10. Cookies and website technical data

 Our website uses strictly necessary cookies and, with your consent, analytics cookies. You can manage your preferences through our cookie banner.

Technical information such as IP address and browser type is collected through standard server logs for security and performance purposes.

Our event pages are hosted by Ticket Tailor, which uses its own cookies. Please see Ticket Tailor's privacy and cookie information.

11. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as necessary:

  • Enquiries: up to [2 years] after our last contact.
  • Event registrations: up to [12 months] after the event. Access and dietary information is deleted within [30 days] after the event.
  • Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe. We then keep a minimal record so that we don't contact you again.
  • Client and contract records: up to 7 years after the end of a contract, or longer where the law requires it.
12. Data security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including:

  • encryption;
  • secure hosting;
  • access controls;
  • staff training;
  • regular reviews of our security and risk management.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

13. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • erase your data, subject to legal limits;
  • restrict how we process your data;
  • data portability;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to direct marketing at any time;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To exercise your rights, email privacy@jgmeconsulting.com. We will respond within one month.

14. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve them.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

15. Children

Our services and events are intended for professionals and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data.

16. Changes to this policy

We review this policy regularly and may update it to reflect changes in law, regulation or our services. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
